Weekend Movie ...

Yes its weekend and we decided to go for the much hyped movie Dhoom - 2 which hit the screens on Dec 24th. As usual last minute decision, hence we went to mayajaal, (sunday the 26th, 5:00pm). Ticket rate in chennai is shooting like anything, its Rs.215/- per ticket, i still remember seeing movies for Rs.40/- couple of years back. But still we decided to go. I generally avoid hindi movies, coz i don't understand hindi. But i had no choice & hype was also too much so i decided to go. ( plus -> Aishwarya Rai & Bipasha Basu..)


Cool one with no logic, very colour full & rich. Hrithik Roshan is really amazing. I think this is the best i have seen him on screens. He just impresses everyone with his style, excellent dances, and adequate acting. 100% entertainment for sure. Even though i don't understand hindi i wasn't bored nor left alone in the theatre. I didn't like the music, songs weren't that impressive.

Talking about Abhishek he has also done a fine job, but i think he needs to take care of his appearances, postures especially when he is pitted against someone with a personality like hrithik.

My opinion : Zero logic but still 100% entertainment. Hrithik the man who rocks and he is the real scene stealer. Score : 3/5.

What to write ???

Today i came early from office, planed to update the blog but nothing came into mind nor found anything interesting. Hence thought of changing my blog page which resulted in two things

one - the online friends and secondly the my listens

Girivalam on a full moon day ....

Last saturday (4/11/06) was a full moon day and for the first time i was in thiruvannamalai for girivalam. It was a long time plan which got fulfilled last week. Thiruvannamalai is 187kms from chennai. Myself, Sreeram, Gopi and Balaji were present. We were there by 20:45hrs. It was a 210mins drive from chennai. (Thanx for balaji for giving his van). The road was really wonderful. Then we started to walk by 21:00hrs and completed the 14kms round the hill by 00:45 hrs in the morning. It was good and i liked it very much. Then we started by 1:00 and reached chennai by 4:30. I had a solid sleep from 6:30 to 13:00hrs.

Anyway, I can share some basic info about this which i got to the readers, if its a repeat i am sorry.

Giri means the hill or the hillock and Valam means circumambulation.

Basically, Girivalam places an emphasis on the circumambulating the divine hill which hosts the Lord's temple and the thousands of the Siddhas and Sages who are penancing towards the Lord to invoke His divine blessings.

Girivalam is normally observed during the Full Moon Day (Pournami, in Tamil/Sanskrit).

Tiruvannamalai the home of Annamalayaar or Arunachaleswarar (Shiva worshipped as a Shiva Lingam) is one of the largest temples in India.It is regarged as one of the Pancha Bhoota Stalams (one of the five grand temples associated with the five basic elements)

Thiruvannamalai also earns the pride of being the Theyu or Agni Sthalam

the other four being

Tiruvanaikkaval (Water/neer),

Chidambaram (Space / aahayam),

Kanchipuram (Earth/bhoomi) and

Sri Kalahasti (Wind/vayu) respectively.

Shiva is said to have manifested himself in the form of a massive column of fire, whose crown and feet, Bhramma and Vishnu attempted in vain to reach. A celebration of this manifestation is seen today in the age old traditions observed in the Shivaratri and the Kartikai Deepam Utsavams held here.

No solution for late Realisiation ....

Today i was really moved by another mail from my friend,

I generally like to do my own way of blog and no forwards, but this one i really felt like putting in my blog ...

Its a story telling how complex and difficult are relations and decision to be taken.

Daniel: I guess we are the left overs in this world.

Jasmine: I think so. All of my friends have boyfriends & we are the only 2 persons left in this world without any special someone in our lives.

Daniel: Yup! I don't know what to do.

Jasmine: I know! We'll play a game.

Daniel: What game?

Jasmine: I'll be your girlfriend for 30 days & you will be my boyfriend.

Daniel: That's a great plan in fact, I don't have anything to do for the following weeks...

DAY 1:

They watched their first movie together & were both touched in the romantic film.

DAY 4:

They went to the beach & had a picnic... Daniel & Jasmine had their quality time together.

DAY 12:

Daniel invited Jasmine to a circus and they went to a Horror House.. Jasmine was scared and she tried to touch Daniel's hand but by accident she touched someone else's and they both laughed..

DAY 14:

They saw a fortune teller down the road and asked for their future. The fortune teller said: "My darlings, please don't waste the time of your lives... spend your time together happily." Then tears flow from the teller's eyes.

DAY 20:

Jasmine invited Daniel to go to the hill and they saw a meteor... Jasmine mumbled something.


DAY 28:

They rode on a bus and because of the bumpy road, Jasmine gave her first kiss to Daniel by accident.


DAY 29:

11:37 pm

Daniel & Jasmine were sitting in the park where they first decided to play this game...

Daniel: I'm tired Jasmine... do you want any drinks? I'll buy you one.. I'll just go down the road..

Jasmine: Apple juice would be fine, thanks.

Daniel: Wait for me...

20 minutes later... a stranger approached Jasmine.

Stranger: Are you a friend of Daniel?

Jasmine: Yes, why? What happened?

Stranger: A reckless drunken driver ran over Daniel & he is critical in the hospital.

11:57pm

The doctor came out from the emergency room & handed out an apple juice & a letter to Jasmine.

Doctor: We found this in Daniel's pocket.

Jasmine read the letter which says:

Jasmine, this past few days, I realized you are really a cute girl & I am falling for you. your cherished smile, your everything when we played this game.. & before this game ends, I would like you to be my girlfriend for the rest of my life. I love you, Jasmine...

Jasmine crumples the paper & shouted.

"Daniel! I don't want you to die...I love you... Remember that night we saw a meteor? I mumbled something.. I wished that we would be together forever & never end this game. Please don't leave me, Daniel... I love you, you cannot do this to me

Then the clock strikes 12

Daniel's heart stop pumping

THEN IT WAS THE 30th DAY...

The story ends, its quite a sentimental touching one. Two things which immediately ran into my mind was we hesitate to tell or show our love & affection and secondly take things for granted whom we are close. Be its a friend, lover, son, father etc.,

Always love your loved ones & show them how you feel before it's too late.. You will never know when they will be gone from your embrace.. If you were given a time to bestow petals of everlasting compassion & love to your love ones, today is the day. Love them while they are still here....
